Aharon Twizer
Aharon is the CEO and Co-Founder at ControlMonkey. His tech experience spans over 20 years, fueling his knowledge and passion for topics related to software development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps solutions. At ControlMonkey, Aharon helps DevOps teams discover, manage, and scale their cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code. As a serial co-founder, he possesses in-depth expertise in software development and engineering leadership, management, and pain points.
Past Experience and Qualifications
In 2009, Aharon Twizer obtained the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo. His career started several years before, though, right after completing the IDF Mamram Programming Course in 2001-2002. The program is targeted at high schoolers and specializes in boosting DevOps and software development careers.
From 2003, Aharon has joined Elbit Systems and Playtech as a software developer. Starting from 2011, he was promoted to a development team leader position at Playtech and Mediamind.
Given both his hands-on expertise and management excellence, Aharon became CTO and Co-Founder of Spot.io in 2020. There, he led important tech innovations in cloud optimization and Kubernetes. In this first experience as a co-founder, Aharon witnessed the whole business development cycle, understanding the challenges and needs development and engineering teams face while growing and scaling.
Previously titled Spotinst, Spot.io offers a SaaS optimization platform that enables companies of all sizes major cost reduction and availability across all cloud providers. It was bought by NetApp for more than $400 million.
Author’s Experience
Before joining ControlMonkey, Aharon worked at AWS as a Principal Solutions Architect, helping global partners solve complex cloud challenges involving AWS infrastructure. This experience shaped his passion to tailor solutions for very complex use cases, further realized in ControlMonkey.
Aharon has been dedicating himself to ControlMonkey since August 2022.
