Gal Hutmann is a veteran cloud and DevOps leader who writes for ControlMonkey. Past Experience and Qualifications
Gal studied computer engineering and began his technical journey as a System Administrator at Comverse Technology, where he built the hands-on infrastructure foundation that would shape his career. He went on to serve as a Microsoft Consultant at Bynet Communications, delivering advanced monitoring and automation solutions, and later joined Ness Digital Engineering as a Services Professional and Manager.
Along the way, Gal earned the title of Microsoft regional specialist and thought leadership, conference, and technical sessions.
Author’s Experience
As Chief Cloud Architect at Sela, Gal led the technical expansion that built one of the MEA’s first certified Azure Expert MSPs, scaling regional cloud revenue from $20K to more than $2M in monthly recurring revenue. It was here that he honed his ability to pair deep architecture skills with the business realities of growing a cloud practice.
He later relocated to Canada, joining OpsGuru (a Carbon60 company) as a cloud solutions architect, where he helped organizations adopt the cloud, enable Kubernetes, and modernize applications at scale. As Chief Development Officer at IGM Technology, Gal led engineering and development for a growing SaaS business, with a focus on helping teams ship faster without sacrificing reliability.
